He says the following: "Education is the result of imagination, dedication, perspiration and creation. Music is not extraneous, expendable or extra-curricular. It is essential. Music and rhythm are part of who we are." Those who study music on a regular basis develop these and other skills that are transferable to other areas of their lives. This is supported by many scientific and other studies. The regular and continuous study and participation in music can provide a lifetime of enjoyment and have many therapeutic benefits.
